Gentlemen -
Our goal this year is to raise $7,500. We’ll be keeping track of our status and taking donations up through the day of the match and festivities. This is a very attainable goal with as many alumni as we have. If we all donate $100 or more, we can easily reach our goal!
Also, be sure to check with your companies to see if they will match your donation (most do). Since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we can provide receipts to the company that can be used as a tax deduction.
We will also be holding a silent auction to raise money. Ask your friends, family, companies, favorite restaurants, etc. if they would like to donate an item to the auction. Again, they will be able to take advantage of our non-profit charity status.
Last year was a great success for the the Association and the club - let’s make it another great year and get the funding we need to become an elite collegiate rugby club.
We have a minimum donation of $50 this year to register for the festival. Please consider donating more so we can reach our goal. Also be sure to let us know what size shirt you want in the notes area!

FESTIVAL WEEKEND AUGUST 31ST - SEPTEMBER 2ND
It is a good idea to start booking hotel rooms for the Labor Day Weekend.
We will again be staying at the Clarion Inn just off of I-35.
There is a block of rooms under “Baylor Rugby” for $79.95/night.
Call (254) 757-2000 to book your room.
I would suggest booking your room as soon as possible or they will release them and then the rate is not guaranteed.
The full itinerary for the weekend should be posted soon.
Cheers,
Zach

The 3rd Annual Baylor Rugby Alumni game was the largest one yet. The weekend began at Ninfa’s where we had a party of 30 or so Alums chatting up the good ‘old days and catching up on years gone by. Following dinner we had our first corporate meeting to discuss the operations and running of the Baylor Rugby Association, its goals, its purpose and its direction. This was a very fruitful meeting and some very good ideas were thrown around by all. We will be focusing our attention in 3 main areas over the next year. First, we will be looking to expand our board to allow more members to get involved in the running of the BRA. Secondly, we will look at membership options for the association and what you are granted for being a member. Finally, we will be gathering information about forming a partnership/scholarship with Baylor University and how all of the details of that relationship will work out.
