Connally McKay plays for National Title0

Baylor Rugby Alumni Connally McKay will be playing for a Division I Club National Title tomorrow (Sunday, June 10th) at 6:15pm CST. You can catch the game webcast live by going to www.usarugby.org and clicking on the link to “Watch Rugby Live on the Web”.

The Austin Blacks won their game today against Olympic Club by a very tight score of 27-24. Tomorrow they face the winner of the Hayward Griffins and Cincinnati Wolfhounds.

Alumni Success on the Field0

As the 2007 Rugby Season is wrapping up it is a good opportunity to reflect on how some of the BU Alumni have helped their respective clubs succeed.

Roberto Hanson (Class ‘05) , Blake Rogers (Current BU Player), Ryan Phillips (Current BU Player), have all helped the Dallas Harlequins have one of their most successful Super League campaigns in the past several years. They came up 10 points short of reaching the Super League semi-finals.

Connally McKay (Class ‘05) has helped lead the Austin Blacks to the Division I Final Four to be held in California in a few weeks.

Zachary Oliphant (Class ‘02), Ben McGuigan (Class ‘05) led the Woodlands to another Division I playoff appearance.

Van-Aarde Pretorius (Class ‘02) as a member of San Fransisco Golden Gate has now found themselves in the Super League semi-finals.
